Bitter Lemon Press

Founded in 2003 in London, we began with the simultaneous launch of a Swiss author, the legendary 1930s crime writer Friedrich Glauser, and a contemporary French one, Tonino Benacquista. We went on to publish four more titles by each of these authors, in what has become a long-standing commitment to support an author and not just a single book. This year we celebrated our twentieth anniversary: 110 crime and thriller titles published so far, with authors from 21 countries, translated from 12 languages. We have also been publishing authors who write in English, from the UK, the US, Italy, India, Australia, Russia and New Zealand.
