


Jantar Publishing
Jantar is an independent publisher of European Literary Fiction and Poetry based in London and has been praised widely for its choice of texts, artwork, editorial rigour and use of very rare and sometimes unique fonts in all its books. Founded in 2011, it focuses on compelling, imaginative and beautiful writing, both in translation and in the English language. Our titles have been shortlisted for the EBRB Prize and the Warwick Women in Translation Prize as well as winning a number of English PEN Translation awards.
In 2023, we launched our series of historic Science Fiction titles beginning with the first ever SF text written in Czech (Newton’s Brain by Jakub Arbes. First published in 1877) and the first ever SF text written in Slovak (The Science of the Stars by Gustav Reuss. Written in 1856).
In 2024, we launched our Amber Poets series with We Were Here by Artur Dron’
In 2026, we launched our NonFiction series with Hemingway Knows Nothing by Artur Dron’
