Elephant Press

Elephant Press was created by Clare Whistler and Raphael Whittle. Over many years they have entwined ideas and design to make beautiful books. All have been designed by Raphael and all are collaborations involving Clare Whistler.

The press’ first book was Gifts, a ten year project of events directed by Whistler with a wide range of writers, artists, performers, composers, filmmakers from all art forms.

Elephant Press has published the eco poetry books created by kin’d & kin’d, Kay Syrad & Clare Whistler, the most recent books are Courage, and Waterdrop.

Elephant Press acknowledges the contribution and skill of everyone involved in the creation of these books, including Jason Gadd and the late Dave Trott. Our books are are climate neutral and printed by PrintopiaPress.com. The CO2 created in the production is offset using Climate Partner.
