We run an optional distribution service that we offer to authors and small publishers through Gardners, the UK’s largest wholesalers of books.
If you are registered with Gardners through our scheme, they will fulfil online orders from all major retailers in the UK, such as like Amazon, Waterstones online, Foyles online, etc. They will also fulfil orders from physical bookshops – please note, they do not sell the books into shops with a sales force, rather make books available for bookshops to order. This means you will need to market the book.
The Gardners Agreement doesn’t stop you direct selling, and we encourage this as you can then keep more of the RRP price. For example, lots of the children’s authors we work with direct sell in schools, and some of our authors direct sell to bookshops or organisations for their launch.
