Julie’s poems ask us to travel in her world, and see it from her perspective, that of a wheelchair user. The natural world that she loves is complicated, often inaccessible, too bumpy, fraught with compromise. And the built environment rejects her too; rendering her unable to navigate the narrow overcrowded aisles of a shop.
