Burning Rag is an independent small press publisher based in Manchester, UK. Working class led, we publish working class writers engaging with urban and rural space and place, be it literary or genre fiction. Urban weird, folk horror, landscape writing, estate fiction; whatever the approach, we love books that place make and place break, books that tell stories about, struggle with, rail against, and love the spaces we exist in.
Established in 2026, Burning Rag will soon be soliciting for its first authors.
