Written Off Publishing

Founded in 2021, Written Off Publishing is a Northern-run small press dedicated to amplifying authentic marginalised voices and telling the stories others are too afraid to in the form of poetry and short story collections.

Focusing on radical existence and de-centring trauma, Written Off aims to dismantle the current state of publishing, addressing the deeper, systemic issues facing marginalised writers, many of whom live in poverty, and to build a true community-led endeavour that gives writers space to access support, develop skills, access performance opportunities and get a springboard into further opportunities.

Written Off is not afraid to hold a mirror to the system; we only hope that it is willing to reflect on what it sees.
